Analysis Design Thinking-Based of Industry Demand and Drafter Workforce Mismatch: A Case Study of Drafter Pro
Abstract
The demand for drafting and design services in the industrial sector continues to grow however, this increase is not aligned with the availability and competency of the drafter workforce. This mismatch results in project inefficiencies and limited employment access for drafters. This study analyzes the industry demand and drafter workforce mismatch using a Design Thinking based approach, with Drafter Pro as the case study. The Design Thinking framework consists of five stages discover, define, develop, and test which are applied to identify the core problems and formulate relevant solutions. The findings indicate that this approach enables a deeper understanding of user needs and strengthens the role of Drafter Pro as a platform that bridges industrial demand with the drafter workforce.

Abstrak Kebutuhan industri terhadap layanan drafting dan desain terus meningkat, namun belum sejalan dengan ketersediaan dan kompetensi tenaga drafter. Kondisi ini menimbulkan ketidakefisienan proyek serta keterbatasan akses kerja bagi drafter. Penelitian ini menganalisis kesenjangan antara permintaan industri dan tenaga drafter menggunakan pendekatan Design Thinking dengan Drafter Pro sebagai studi kasus. Lima tahapan Design Thinking yaitu discover, define, develop, dan test digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi permasalahan utama dan merumuskan solusi yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan ini membantu memahami kebutuhan pengguna secara lebih mendalam dan mendukung peran Drafter Pro sebagai platform penghubung antara industri dan drafter.
